Part 1: Form — The Blueprint of Being
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep…” — Genesis 1:1–2
Everything begins as formless.Before light, before movement, before growth — there is shape waiting to be spoken.
Form is God’s first act of love.He draws boundaries so that beauty can exist within them.He separates light from darkness, sky from sea, land from water.Form is not control — it’s clarity.It’s what allows creation to breathe.
When my own life feels chaotic, it’s rarely because I’m lacking energy — it’s because I’ve lost form. The light is there, but it’s scattered.The sea is there, but it floods the land.The work is there, but it has no rhythm.
To form something is to bring it into alignment with its purpose.It’s deciding, “This is where this belongs.”It’s not about perfection; it’s about placement.Even the dust of the ground was formed before it was filled with breath. And that’s the key: Form always comes before fill.Without it, whatever we pour in leaks out.Form is the vessel; fill is the life that moves through it.
In my morning journal, I have started to document "form" and "filling." "Form" represents my planned direction, while "filling" reflects how I actually spent my time.
What space in me needs to be shaped again by the hands of the Creator?
This week, I’m choosing to form:
A sacred rhythm of morning and evening reflection.
A boundary between work and rest.
A space where I listen before I speak.
Form is the beginning of fruit.Without form, nothing can grow.But when we return to it, everything finds its place again — light separates from darkness, and life begins to rise from the soil.
